The Power Word: Gold Podcast – Episode 35 Reivew

powerworldgoldpodcast

Well it’s been a few podcast’s now that I haven’t reviewed the Power Word: Gold Podcast. This has been due to some time issues and changes I made from the time I wrote and posted the last one, which was episode 27. The goal for me is to get these out at least over the weekend that he releases them. Jim from Power Word Gold runs the podcast and generally has stated that he wants to do the podcast on a weekly basis and for a while it was. But as of late he has spent most of his resources a time in livestreaming. Which he himself discussed on a past podcast is an issue. I believe that was episode 30ish, I would have to go back and listen again but I do recall it was a topic. The Review This week’s episode 35 is Jim back to basics in… Read More »

ClockworkRiot LiteCast Review

ClockworkRiotLiteCast

Today I would like to turn my readers to a newly podcast, label as a ‘LiteCast’ recorded by Faid (@GoClockworkRiot) from Clockwork Riot. The ClockworkRiot LiteCast has reached its 5th episodes, which generally when a Podcast reaches this they are at least gonna stick around for a while. This however isn’t 100% true, but at this point I feel that a podcast has had enough solid episodes that calls for a review. So what is that ClockworkRiot LiteCast? It’s simply a short 10 to 30 minute podcast by Faid where she talks about god making. In the very first episode, she explains the reasons behind her doing it. Simply put a media for her to discuss gold making topics she finds she wants to talk about but doesn’t feel it’s worth a post or video. Basically the format of the show is an email podcast. You as a listener can… Read More »

I Gem for Strength?

talents

Not long ago I was checking out twitter and I came cross a post by @kurnmogh about how Blizzard doesn’t take the time or effort at least in his ideal of the game that they teach us how to play our classes. Back in the old days, it took months to level to the level cap. I’ve heard people took a near year or more to level to 60 and I know back when I started playing, I level 1-80 in Wrath in about a year and half. Today I level 1-85 on a new server in about 3 weeks time. I played every day for at least 2-3 some times up to 5 hours per day about 3 and half weeks before patch 4.3 came out. That says something and I didn’t have any help and that was nearly 90% questing with some battlegrounds and some 5-mans. So in… Read More »

Transmog Friday: Replica Beaststalker

shadowolz

Hello and welcome to another Transmog Friday! This is something I want to try to do every Friday, showcase some hunter transmogrification gear. Last week I show case the first version of my Green Jungle Beast set, which I’ve updated but we’ll save that for another time. However today I want to share with you my alt hunter Shadowolz‘s transmog set. The set used is the Replica Beaststalker’s set, which I farm in one day on all my level 85 toons a few months ago at the Darkmoon Fair. If you have 6+ you can turn in all the quest and do the month profession quests and basically pull in 75-80 tickets each time which is enough to buy one maybe 2 pieces of the set. Give I had 8 characters at a level where I could turn in enough on him to get another I was able to pull… Read More »

Today is a wonderful day, I was just on twitter just checking what everyone was up to this afternoon when a very special tweet came just the moment I hit refresh. The Hunter Fuel: WoW Music Album! Yes that is right, for those of you who don’t know who Frostheim and Balthazar are you need to get smacked in the back of your head! No kidding but seriously, for anyone who is a hunter for any time knows who Frostheim is and his block the WHU. Both @FrostheimWHU and Balthazar are teaming up again to bring us another hunter related song and hopefully a whole album of them. Everything from Sporebats making rogues bleed from their anus, to big red pets eating everything and everyone in sight. To the good looks and charms.. and don’t forget to pay them due! For those of you who are out of the loop,… Read More »

What should I stockpile in MoP?

WoWScrnShot_051512_174134

It’s a question that is on everyone’s mind right now, what should I be buying? There has been some good points I’ve seen come out and a number of things that I’ve been saving to release until this very moment. I wanted to see what others would say and to be frank I love how someone can post an idea and then everyone runs on it. Just like when I talked about months ago about stocking up on cloth and how one should stock Netherweave Bolts over the cloth. It’s funny how now everyone is saying to do this, but no one really knows where the idea came from. The Master list While I don’t take claim to the idea, even know when I wrote my post months ago no one was talking about, doesn’t mean it was my idea. It was however unique in that respect and here I’m… Read More »

Are Aspects Boring?

ss_aspects

Over the last few days I’ve been releasing older posts for macros. Basically my list for PVE and PVP macros I’ve been using the last year and half. This isn’t however the ones I’ve just started to use, something new I’m trying out. Give the release of those macros one of the base macros was your standard Aspects macro into all the shots. So I was checking up on some blue posts and other hunter blogs and came across a post on Warcraft Hunters Union where Frostheim talks about some blue posts. The one that I read about and responded too was the fact Blizzard isn’t happy that we’re macroing in Hawk to all our shots and Fox to our Stready/Cobra shots. It almost seems like back in Beta for Cataclysm this was gonna to be the case. First I’m not going to go too much into detail about what… Read More »

PVP Marcos every Hunter Needs!

WoWScrnShot_061512_131024

Yesterday I talked about Macros every Hunter needs! However today I’m going to talk about the PVP macros that I’m currently using on my two level 85 Hunters. In order to keep the post length down, I broke up the PVP macros and the add-on I use, Clique for them to this post. The reason for this was not just the latter but because I wanted to explain some things about each macro as some of them are long and complex. I know what your thinking, isn’t Clique one of those healer mouseover add-ons? Yes it is but it can also be used for macros for our pets. As you are aware, the in-game macro window only allows so many macros. When you take into account all the macros we would use for cooldowns, shots, etc that doesn’t leave us much room. Like me I dip a lot of my… Read More »

So Little Time

WoWScrnShot_062412_084336

Today I feel a little overwhelmed with everything that I have going on. First off I want to say to everyone who follows me on Twitter, thank you for your support. I wasn’t sure if my change over was going to work out better. But it seems now that I’ve focus my content to one thing that more people are taking notice of me. This pleases me and makes all the work I’m doing both here on my blog and behind the scenes much more for filling for me. Other than writing a few posts about my current projects, as you are all aware of if you’ve been reading my block that I’m working on my Hunter Project which I’ve been slowly doing but it’s not going as fast I should be. Truth is it only took me 3 weeks of real-time, playing I believe 4-6 hours per day to… Read More »

The Power Word: Gold Podcast – Episode 027 Review

powerworldgoldpodcast

As I’ve talked about before with another podcast called Call To Auction, which I review not too long ago in fact. I must re-track a statement I made in that post stating that there where no other WoW Gold making podcasts out there. Well just as I made the post about a day after it was published, I found out about another pod cast called Power Word Gold. So as you may guess, I found the website, which you can visit here, I must say not the greatest of looking websites but this isn’t about the web site design, this is about the podcast. Now at the time of writing this the pod cast has been out a few days and I’ve listen to it about 4 times already. One of the things I really enjoy doing is listening to WoW related content while I’m playing, as such either when… Read More »

MoP Beta Screenshots

WoWScrnShot_041512_044518

Today’s going to be a short post, but I want to give some updates on what I’ve been up too this week. First off been live streaming a little more often, but the problem is right now the only real time I’ve had to live stream solidly for an hour or so has been really late at night. I’ve been working on a new Hunter, on Darkspear on a friends server. Some of you might have remembered back before patch 4.3 when I started there with a human hunter and the goal was to do arena as Beast Master, well that didn’t play out as well as I wanted, I only was able to break 1600 rating which isn’t horrible I’d like to add, it’s respectfully with the com I ran in two was with a holy Paladin mind you. What I’ve been doing this week has been leveling my… Read More »

Selling Vendor items

sellingvendoritems

First off, there has been many people who have talked about selling vendor items for profit, this goes from everything to vendor patterns, copper rods even fresh water. There is a reason for all these things and why they sell, people wonder.. well I buy an item off the vendor, walk 2 feet to the auction house and sell it for sometimes 10 times the amount and they sell? HUH? Well first off I’ll point out some clear ones, some others are not so much. The reason patterns for professions sell is some people are either too lazy to look them up let alone travel in the game to get them. And that’s to say if the item is even there (if it’s a limited time one). To be frank it also comes down to people not knowing about them. I know that there are so many patterns that you… Read More »

Macros every Hunter Needs!

WoWScrnShot_061512_131024

Today is a long over due post, I’m going to be talking about macros, and for those of you who don’t know what a macro is, how to use one, first before you read today’s entry, check out the official how to use macros wiki page. Alright so let’s get down to the core of why we used macros. Simply they made playing the game better. Mouseovers, focus target macros, just being able to do more than one action at the same time to do the best DPS we can. In PVE there aren’t many macros we need for your standard PVE hunter, he would only need 1 or two good shot macros and a cooldown macro, everything else should be key-bound for easy and quick use. For starters lets look at a simple PVE shot macro, this macro can be changed base on the shot (you just copy it,… Read More »

Support Nev, the Fight Against Breast Cancer

breastcancer

Some times, I know we can forget that there are real people behind the computer characters we play in-game and it’s easy to forget that out there is a world where RNG is an even worst for some of us. Today I want to just stop and give a short out and my support to someone I’ve been following for a few months now. This person is amazing and I hope that you take the time to read her story. Today I want you to just log out, stop what you’re doing and head over to Auction House Addict and read the heart warming post by Nev or Helen Shorey, it’s worth a read. Fight Against Breast Cancer I’m amazed by her will and fight, not only is she running a fundraiser and her target is £1,000.00 in her own effort against Breast Cancer, she is also going to be… Read More »

MoP: Leather Stockpiling for 5.0

leatherstockpil_large

With Mists of Pandaria news hitting pretty soon and the in-house alpha now going, a beta is coming. Once that is out people will more than likely start to put out lists of what you should stockpile to sell at a higher price. I want to be ahead of the game and put out my lists now, simply because I think they are a good list of items to stock pile up. With that being said, today I’m going to talk about leather, in Mist we are surely going to get a new set of leather and everyone under the sun is going to be farming it to sell, to level up Leatherworking mostly. If you missed my cloth stockpiles list for 5.0 be sure to check it out. Right now there is no way of knowing how the effect of the changes in-game will affect the leather market or… Read More »

Shoulder Enchants Provided by Scribes

WoWScrnShot_052012_190628

The beta for Mist of Pandaria has been coming along really nicely and the one big change that I’ve been really looking forward has been the profession changes. After all we’re all about making gold here so I was really thrilled to hear about the following change in the latest beta build. Speaking of the beta, don’t forget to check out my post about What should I stockpile in MoP. I think it’s a great change and now not needing to grind rep for our shoulder and head enchants (which are gone now) is awesome. Ghostcrawler We decided that putting head enchants on the various faction vendors wasn’t working well with our design intent for the factions. There is a lot of max-level quest content in MoP, much of it focused around the reputation with the new factions. I think it’s really cool stuff — worlds away from the old… Read More »

Call To Auction: Episode 27 Review

calltoauctionreview

Greeting, I became a really big fan of listening to World of Warcraft podcast last year, starting with as you might guess, Call To Auction! What is Call To Auction you might ask? Well its a World of Warcraft gold making podcast. I found it by searching Google on tips on how to make gold, this was back in Wrath of the Lich King no less. The basic format of the show is rather simple, the first series had two main host, Markco from Just My Two Copper, and Euripides from OutDPS. The ideal of it was. The first season as I like to call it, feature both Markco and Euripides talking about making gold with professions, but most of it was just them talking about the game and ways you could make gold. The overall theme of the show has always been a more open discussion format. Where many… Read More »

How to Make Gold at Low Levels

WoWScrnShot_062412_084336

Just a few weeks ago I team up with a fellow Twitter follower @HoneyTrap2 on the EU servers; yes that’s right I’ve rolled a Blood Elf Hunter on the EU. I’ve always wanted to play on the EU, I’ve heard that they have some pretty awesome PVP guilds out there and some of the best players. Plus for me I always find myself having free time where I could play on Tuesdays go figure. Today however I’m not going to be talking about my experience on the EU servers having been an US player for so long. No today I’m gonna bring you some quick gold tips for low-level characters. Many people have discuss this topic, I found that this would be a good time for me as they relate to Hunters but really this applies to any low-level character who like me have zero access to a higher level… Read More »

Faid’s Ultimate Recipe Guide Review

faidguide

Today I’m going to be reviewing a product which I’ve been itching to do for some time now, it’s called Ultimate Alliance/Horde Recipe Collection. have no affiliation with them the creators of this World of Warcraft gold guide, yes this is how to make gold with vendor recipes. You will not find any hidden links with-in this review nor do I get any money for this review let alone any lend way or special deal, that being said. For those of you who don’t know who Faid @GoClockworkRiot is, she’s a World of Warcraft Blogger, You Tuber, Gold Maker and semi-active Live Streamer. It wasn’t too long ago that she decided to re-lunch her blog, www.clockworkriot.com. What is Ultimate Recipe Collection? The Ultimate Recipe Collection is a PDF file which basically the simple way to put it, it’s a guide that outlines the different patterns and recipes in the game… Read More »
