BlizzCon 2013 – Hunters and Professions

So as I’ve talked about on and off, they are doing some major changed with professions which I’m really thrilled about. BlizzCon this year has been amazing. The big news for me in the whole player housing feature they are adding, which allows you to have access to professions and they are going to make it so professions fun again and not just a stats stick as they are for most players.

As I’ve talked about with the new Garrison’s we’re getting. You’re going to be able to have access to other professions you don’t have but limited. You’ll be able to gather using your followers, which means you wont have to farm anymore and this can happen while you’re not login.

No details about it yet but they have stated they are going to work on making professions fun again and not just being a stats stick your character has. I can’t wait honestly

They sound really cool but I’m not going to try to talk too much about it because honestly they’ll change by the time we get to beta and even then we’ll see more changes. But for the sake of having them here for the future to see what could have been. I will note however when I saw the trailer, seeing a hunter attacking in close combat with no pet, sort of gave me the feeling they are pushing for one of the specs to be a no pet spec of a sorts and another to being a tank. Which I’m okay with as long as we have the tools that all other tanks have.

I’m hoping we get some updates on some of he changes to Hunters and how it’ll affect the class. Some of those little bugs and things we all want to see happen. Like being able to be awesome. I’m also hoping to see something along the lines of a new professions, but maybe in another life.

  1. Did you see the WoW sound panel? They had new sounds for Bows and Guns. In fact those were the only sounds they showed off for like the first 30min of that panel. I like the way they prioritize.

    1. Yes I did see that and I’m happy that they do give hunters more love than other classes. We’re the best class anyways. ;) I’m hoping they make more changes that are for the better and overall the changed they made in the last patch turned out good at least in my opinion.

What do you think?
