Call to Feedback!
Today I like to take a moment and ask for some feedback from my readers. July is coming to a close and I’ve already written 30 posts this month alone. My traffic has been steady over the month and the question I have for you is simple; Am I posting too much?
The reason I’m asking this question is I’ve been doing a case study of sorts of Gold Making Blogs (as well as Hunter blogs). I try to keep a balance between both gold making and hunter content. I know some of you come here looking for the latest Hunter stuff and some for the gold making tips.
I fully understand that while my website is center around mainly gold making from a hunter’s point of view. I also want to have general hunter content, such as AoE builds, leveling builds and PVP builds. As I’ve talked about before, I plan to go full PVP come Mist of Pandaria so there will be a lack of PVE related content and the only PVE content I’ll be doing is one related to gold making (extreme soloing).
Basically, I’ve been trying to keep a good solid 2 posts a day, early on I was doing three a day and try to mix it up. I feel that however I’m almost being spammy because I got listed on the Undermine Journal, which post up each blog entry.
I’m not afraid if I end up being taken off the Undermine Journal Blog list due to too many posts being put up. I try to keep at least something for everyone and I did notice at one point when I looked at their page.. near 50% of their posts they put up where mine.
Now I haven’t gotten much if any bad feedback about my blog. I feel that if my content is solid, useful then it wont matter if I put out 10 posts a day. But I understand that some readers may be put off by it. So that’s why I’m asking, what do you like best?
Granted if I where to go down to a single post pre-day it comes down to well do I put out a gold making post, a hunter post? Or a general post? I thought doing a gold making post and a hunter post or maybe two hunter posts or two gold making post would keep a good balance.
I’m sure a point will come when I wont have much to write about and come Mist of Pandaria I’m going to be playing just like everyone else, so I’m already aware that my posts will drop down too one maybe. I thought maybe of just taking the weekends off from posting.
In any case, please let me know what do you think? What do you like, do you like the fact I’m kicking out so much content? Do you think my content is good content? I mean it’s one thing to write a post but the content has to be worth reading too.

Following on from my Tweet i think the answer is a weekly summary post where you combine or at least link to all the posts you made that week, i’m pretty active on twitter etc. but you know posts like “Thank You!” i would have liked to read but only read just now *hugs*
I do something similar with my Flashback posts where i highlight the most popular posts of a previous month.
Keep it up
PS: add more screenshots i like pictures lol :D

Yes I’ve wrote a post for tomorrow outlining this past week’s posts. Doing for a monthly post may be an idea but we’ll just have to see. Thanks for the feedback.

Simple answer, if you got something to say, and you think its of a quality/level your happy with, say it!
The reason i stopped for while posting, and slowed down is cos i couldn’t keep the quality I wanted, so I slowed down.
to me you have to be happy with what your doing as much as us your readers are.
Just my thoughts anyway, I love your blog :D

Yeah I agree and I myself been doing this a long time. Most people view me and my blog and I’m seen as the new kid on the block. In terms of being known in the gold and hunter communities I am new. Before I did this I was really into doing Anime websites as well as movie blogs and I ran a forum for years. None of them really match the level of success I’ve had with this.
I think the reason for that is because I made many mistakes and what I focus on over the last 10 plus years. I learned much doing it on my own as they say. As such I was really able to apply those lessons and build a solid framework and I’m just very lucky that so many people enjoy it.

As long as you have the time and something to say I don’t see a problem in multiple posts per day. I’m lucky if I manage one a week, but I have limited time. Quality is always better than quantity so as long as the quality is good what do you have to worry about.
